THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH - PART 6

THURSDAY 19 SEPTEMBER 2024

Reference: Deuteronomy 32:1-3 New International Version (NIV)

"Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"

In accordance with the above referenced Scripture, the next segment to be expounded by my humble self is:

"Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants."

Did you notice that there is a defined systemized and standardized strategy in his teaching approach? Firstly, it says, "Let my teaching fall like rain", which denotes that the consistency of Mosaic doctrine shall drop as the rain. Then secondly, "let my words descend like dews" which implies that "his speech shall distil as the dew." Then thirdly, "like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants", which is indicative of ample rain resting upon a tender herb, and drizzling showers upon the grass.

To expound this particular segment with an accurate understanding, I will subdivide it into three separate sections:

1. Let my teaching fall like rain.

2. Let my words descend like dew.

3. Like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

Today's focus is majored on "Let my teaching fall like rain." The teaching as a sound doctrine will first of all fall like rain. What does the rain do when it falls? Isaiah 55:10 reads, "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater..." (NIV). Moses' doctrinal concern is for his teaching from the heart of heaven to water the soil of the hearts of those who receive it on earth. You can now understand the reason behind his signalled instruction to heaven and earth before he spoke. Are you with me?

When I said to myself: How does this apply to a teaching ministry in today's world? Instantly, Christ in me referred me to the work and governing influence of the Spirit. Beloved, the Holy Spirit is the best illuminating agent of truth and dependable foundation of spiritual realities. He is the crowning principality of divine wisdom and revelation. He is so "supply" concentrated that Jesus and His FATHER sent him to guide us into all truth, not some of it. The vastness of His all-encompassing insights into heavenly realities stands as the gateway to significant disclosure of Gospel truth, with notable and lasting impacts that can reach or stretch out into every part of human life.

When it pertains to the teaching ministry of the Word, the Holy Spirit is more than able to empower you with the ability to perceive and uphold transforming images, divine notions and freshening updates from Scriptural reasonings and descriptions, as you climb the ladder of eternal truths with Him - side by side. Therefore, make it a point of duty and honour to go higher in engaging His guiding influence in relation to the gospel truth, because He will always enforce a sense of rich array of God's depth that stamps the signature of enlightening influence in your spirit, as well as your soul realm, which will in turn, position you to be strong in faith and to deliver God's mystery in an expounded form.

The Holy Spirit can produce in a man, a wide variety of credible teaching - powered and generated by His accurate guidance, which is more fit for this purpose: a teaching that permeates the spirit and hearts of people that receive it and intensify their perception of that teaching grace, such that they can assimilate a peculiar kind of uncommon revelation. The Holy Spirit is the reliable source of spiritual truth that can upgrade the doctrine you already teach with enhanced feedback anchored on the ground of higher spiritual perception, so as to exert significant influential transformation in the hearers' heart.

John 16:13 (NLT) reads, "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth." Do you really grasp what "all truth" means? Can anyone measure the vastness, interpretability, effectiveness and trustworthiness of the guiding influence of the Holy Spirit in delving into all truth? He can guide you into higher-resolution versions of divine truth, full of knowledgeable insights.

So your belief system must be willing to be stretched to comprehend and accommodate the higher realms of the gospel truth He clarifies in your spirit. Admittedly, when your desire for the depth of God becomes your emerging behaviour, the Holy Spirit will capitalise on it and then use that desire as a platform to enlighten your heart and mind with divine truth and revelation - on an advanced level. Stay tuned for more on this segment. Shalom!

Guided Prayer:

Heavenly Father, your Word informs me that when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide me into all truth. Therefore, my heart's desire is this: Let my teaching fall like rain from heaven as He guides me into all truth, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
