THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH - PART 3

Reference: Deuteronomy 32:1-3 New International Version (NIV)

"Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"

Today's article is still on the first segment, "Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth." Did you notice that heaven listens; it does more than hearing, as we know that someone can be hearing you, but may not be listening.

The earth could hear everything and not respond, until a higher realm activates its listening and response. This is because it only listens and actions the dictates and commanding-line of powers and authorities in the heavenly realms. That's the reason things are established on earth from the heavens. Even the rain and snowfall that water the earth to make it bud and flourishing, stem or come down from the heavens, otherwise the earth cannot yield (see Isaiah 55:10 NLT).

You'll also notice that the beginning part of the Lord's prayer says: "...May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10 NLT). This is the reason we establish our prayers and declarations on earth in accordance with His will. Even those unbelievers whose belief system is tied to the negative supernatural effects in the heavenly realms, which consist of evil powers, demonic operations and malevolent supernatural forces, the earth responds to them accordingly, although their consequential results or outcomes are not chained to godly wisdom.

Solomonic inspired utterance reads, "The Lord does not listen to the wicked, but he hears the prayers of those who do right" (Proverbs 15:29 NCV). In another way, the Lord hears the wicked, but does not have to listen, which are two different things. However, although the earth may hear the wicked in their wicked ways mainly linked to the negative supernatural realms, they may not shrink from experiencing the consequences.

Of course, there are negative supernatural realms, where the light people behold is darkness. To that effect, the Lord Jesus said, "But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God's precepts]. So if the [very] light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!" (Matthew 6:23 AMP).

Beloved, when the earth is hard of hearing, it doesn't need a hearing aid, it only needs a listening heaven. For instance, Jabez' mother had named Him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain", and as a result, his earth was hard of hearing. The Bible says, "Jabez was more honourable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain. And God granted his request" (1 Chronicles 4:9-10 NIV), indicating that the earth responded to a listening heaven on behalf of Jabez. 

As for David, regardless of his wilderness experiences, his earth was eventually visited by God in heaven. But before then, he once declared by faith saying, "Yet I am confident I will see the LORD's goodness while I am here in the land of the living" (Psalm 27:13 NIV). What does that signify? It denotes that that heaven turned his story around here in the LAND of the LIVING, which is earth, on account of his unwavering confidence in God's goodness from heaven.

Every good and perfect gift on earth came from heaven (see James 1:17 NIV). The gift of the Holy Spirit came from heaven. Forgiveness of sins came from heaven. Grace and truth that brought salvation and eternal life came from heaven. Good successes come from heaven. Abundant life came from heaven. And these are few responses from the listening ears of heaven which have established their eternal or enduring influences on earth. Stay tuned for more on this first segment. Shalom!

Heavenly Father, thank you for filling my mouth with your words, such that heavens listen when I speak, and the earth hears, permits and observes heaven's responses to my voice, which is full of dynamic influences. May your will continue to be established on earth, as it is in heaven, through the words of mouth, spiritual eyes and godly mind of all born again Christians, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
