THE GREATER ONE INDWELLS YOU
Today, God is making an important statement to those who are in Christ Jesus. He is telling us about who resides in us and how superior He is. God is not a man that He can lie. Therefore we ought to pay attention when He is informing us about who we have.
Reference: 1 John 4:4 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 'You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.'
This verse is fully packed with revelation knowledge. John shared a lot in just one verse. First, He revealed our divine origin. Second: we are God's own children. Third: our victory status. Fourth: the superior One in us, and fifth: the inferior one in the world. I may not go into details one by one but John's aim is to arouse our awareness about the superiority and greatness of the One that dwells in us. This is because such understanding will make you a master in your world.
John knows something about the greater One and His position in us. The Bible also says, 'Christ in you' the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). If I'm informed that the greater One lives in me, then it means that the inferior one is not in me. His location is outside of me and he's out there in the world. Therefore, everything I require in order to walk in victory and dominion is on the inside. Its very important that you grasp this truth and be more mindful of who is in you than who is not in you, as you encounter any circumstance in your world. It will help you to understand that any contrary force is an inferior and outside force. You have the advantage over all of them.
Jesus said, 'I don’t have much more time to talk to you, because the ruler of this world approaches. He has no power over me' (John 14:30 NLT). Its the same with you. Therefore you must accept and understand the value of this statement. The devil's location is outside and under your domain of dominion; he has no power over you, despite any of his attempts to approach. In other words, everything the devil may do to get to you is being schemed from the world. For this reason, He can never devise against you successfully. Once the devil approaches, Jesus wants you to relax because of His indomitable presence in you. His presence guarantees your victory over the devil at all times.
There's no hiding place for the devil because his location has been revealed in our referenced Scripture and he's been defeated. Now that you know his location, when any wind is blowing and the storm arises, you must feel at rest and sleep like Jesus slept in the boat, and simply declare peace to arrest the storm like He did (Mark 4:39 ESV). Remember we are of God! Hence we behave like Jesus because we are God's children and we have overcome the world. The word, 'world' in our referenced verse means, 'cosmos' which implies - the Kingdom of the world and their glory; their systems and organisations. If the Bible says that we've overcome the world, then it means we've overcome every contrary spirit in the world.
The greater One lives in you, not because you pray and fast a lot but because you have the nature and presence of God active in you. Christ is permanently resident in you; He's not an occasional visitor. In the midst of any crisis or adversity, the greater than everything is there in you and the golden news is that heaven invested the maximum level of power and authority in His Name. This is the reason you must be in charge at all times and entertain no room for despair, come what may. Your space has been fully occupied by Jesus, and at the mention of His Name, every knee bends, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue should confess that He is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11).

Exuberant Declaration: I'm daily inspired and empowered by the truth that Greater is Christ in me than the he that is in the world. I am of God, having been born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word which lives and abides forever. This consciousness causes me to live a victorious life. As more than a conqueror, I am a world overcomer and I overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. My faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Glory to God!
