ROYAL HEADSHIP - PART 9

FRIDAY 05 JULY 2024

As the gods, the image of the invisible God is made visible in our earthly lives. So the gods make constant practice of that which is good and pleasing in God's sight. More below!

Reference: Ephesians 2:6-7 The Message (MSG)

"Then He picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. Now God has us where He wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus."

The next and last segment in the above versified reference to be expounded by my humble self is:

And the next - to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus.

Christ, as a Person, is the substance or essence of a reigning grace. In order to shower grace and kindness on us, God had to raise us with Christ and in Christ. How did He do it?

When you study Romans chapter 5 cogitatively, you'll grasp the understanding that through one man's offence, death reigned and that one was Adam, but there was an intervention which was superimposed on the reign of death by another, and it brought or introduced a new reign. So it reads - how much more shall they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of justifying righteousness reign in life by one Jesus Christ - through the image of the invisible God.

The one man who committed offence that brought death bore the "image of the earthy", while the One who died to save us from condemnation as a result of the committed offence bears "the image of the heavenly". So we reign by the identity of nature we bear. And God's grace and the gift that came by abundance of grace in the One man, Jesus Christ, overflow to us. This is exactly what apostle Paul communicated by saying, "...and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus."

God's plan in Christ Jesus is to shower grace and kindness upon the saints, but how much grace and kindness we receive is dependent on the apt ability of our constant reception. Now when it comes to "headship" mentality, we need abundance of grace to work out the personification of Christ in our lives, since Christ is the substance or essence of a reigning grace. Simply put, to function in the office of your royal headship, put on Christ.

When you put on Christ, you put on immortality and in doing so, you function as god on earth. To that effect, Romans 13:13 (NLT) reads, "Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don't participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarrelling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires." Got it?

The gods have no business with indulging in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, as well as dissension and jealousy. You can't function as god on earth by sleeping with a boy or girl friend or having sex outside marriage. Hear me: There is such a thing as a "solid reality" of being the image of God.

Those who truly wear Christ have put on the armor of light, and as they reign in life as gods, they lack the desire to participate in the deeds of darkness because the gods live a life divinely owned and legally sacred in Christ Jesus. Simply put, eternal life at work in the gods is not an ordinary life; it's a life that bears the image and glory of God, not the image of the earthy. Got it? Stay tuned for part 10. Shalom!
