ROYAL HEADSHIP - PART 2

Royal headship in Christ is a differentia of the Spirit of adoption amply poured out in our lives. Romans 8:15 reads, 'For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father"' (NKJV). This refers to the superior Spirit of adoption to sonship that confers our mandate of superlative headship, which is contrary to the spirit of bondage.

So we are going to delve into the depth, width, height and length of divine knowledge and understanding based on the dimensions of definitive power, evaluative acumen and spiritual insight into royal headship, to which we subscribed at new birth.

"Then He picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. Now God has us where He wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus."

I am still on the underlying basis or introductory level of this wonderful topic, which will come with successive parts of broad or vast requisites of a much-needed in-depth analysis denoting our superior functional authority and dominion in Christ.

It is indeed noteworthy to acknowledge that my headship in Christ is a product of God's absolute foreknowledge. To that effect, Romans 8:29-30 reads, "For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory" (NLT). Now it is of paramount importance to pay apt attention to the end of this versified statement, which is "And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory." What does this signify?

After choosing us in Christ, He called us to come to Him by means of receiving salvation in Christ. Having done that, God gave us right standing with Him, and in the realm of that divinely-established position, He gave us His glory. On a more clarificatory regard, giving us His glory implies that He raised us up with Christ and seated us in the heavenly realms with our beloved Jesus, the Anointed Supreme King of glory. Got it? And this glory is encapsulated in the enlightening, awakening, convincing, quickening, and dominating influences of the Spirit. Therefore, if you must express your headship in Christ, engaging the executive power of the precious Holy Spirit is the key, because He is the power that was at work or was exerted when God raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him in heaven with us.

Demonstrating your royal headship in Christ is plainly and utterly being expressive of the mystery, namely "Christ in you." This is because all the powers and authority embedded in "headship" have been subjected to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the head over all things and all creation. Pauline epistolary perception of this truth reads, "So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority" (Colossians 2:10 NLT). This directly means that our overall "value-in-use" completeness is based on Christ's headship, on account of our inextricable union with Him. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!

Exuberant Declaration:

My royal headship is dependent upon new birth because I am born of the Spirit. Hence, I am superior and  complete in Christ, who is the sovereign head of all rule and authority, and His power at work in me surpasses and outclasses everything on earth - in its perfection and dynamics. Hallelujah!
