PETITIONARY DECISIVENESS

A prayer of petition involves praying to God asking God to fulfil a need. That need or desire in your heart could be for yourself, your family members, and for others, but it's a direct request for something you truly desire to see in your life and world - in line with God's Word.

Decisiveness in the context of prayer of petition is the conclusive nature of issues presented as a request to God, which has been settled or a result that has been produced because we walk by faith, not by sight. To that effect, Matthew 11:24 reads, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (NIV).

So in this case, God has already delivered the answer, but the reason for making a petitionary prayer is to align your spirit, soul and body with the best answers from the Lord which have already been assigned to your prayer of petition in accordance with His perfect will.

Isaiah 65:24 says, "I'll anticipate their prayers and respond before they know it; even as they speak, I will hear" (VOICE). Your prayer points have to be a carefully and thoughtfully worded petition to the Father with specific requests backed with evidence of Scriptural references as led by the Spirit.

On the one hand, I have asked the Lord for the power and leading of the Holy Spirit to guide you aright on how to pray and receive the answers to your prayer requests in reality. On the other, Romans 8:26-27 reminds us, "In like manner also the Spirit affords assistance to our infirmities: for even this, what we should pray for as we ought, we know not: but the same Spirit more abundantly maketh intercession for us with groanings unutterable" (Haweis New Testament). I'm therefore confident with the cognizance that God has answered your prayers.

Philippians 4:6-7 equally reminds us: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (NIV).

Thank you Father in heaven for undeniable results prepared for your people, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
