NO EVIL IN GOD

The Almighty God has no business with evil and not only that, there is nothing evil and wicked in this world that comes from God. This is why the Word tells us as Christians, in 1st Thessalonians 5:22, to reject every kind of evil.

Reference: Psalm 92:15 New Living Translation (NLT) 'They will declare, "The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!"'

The Lord is the Almighty God and there is no evil in Him. He is a Supreme being, full of absolute goodness, absolute power, absolute perfection and absolute uprightness. God as upright means that His integrity, sincerity and trustworthiness are flawless and stainless. He is without blemish. He is too righteous to fail because there's no inconsistency with His divine nature.

God as my rock means that His presence is a safe dwelling place. He is our rock of protection, solution, salvation and safety. He is our firm foundation. The very foundation of our Christian lives is built on this rock. And the reason this foundation is important is that it gives us stability and strength. When God is your rock, your foundation is secure because you can withstand whatever comes your way. And here is what the Bible says concerning those whose lives are built on the rock:

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock" (Matthew 7:24-25 NIV).

The mystery of God being our rock is defined in practising the Word, which grants us special revelation about Him. God was pleased to reveal Himself through His Word and when we pay attention to the Word and put it to work, we experience Him as our rock beyond just confessing it. And what we practise results in who we really are. Therefore, we are no closer to the solution of any problem than we are when we practise the Word. By doing so, we become a container or a vessel that manifests God as our rock of solution and more.

Indeed there is no evil in God. Although there is evil in this world and the world is full of wickedness, God has nothing to do with evil and He is not responsible for evil and corruption. The Bible says, "We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one" (1 John 5:19 NIV). Satan's domain is aptly described as "darkness", which creates an atmosphere of evil. And those who walk in darkness are considered as being evil because there's nothing good about the Devil.

When we read that "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God" (2 Corinthians 4:4), we are talking about the Devil promoting the concept of evil nature and the knowledge of evil in the world. But Jesus says, "...for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me" (John 14:30 NKJV). This is exactly in line with our referenced Scripture which reveals that there is no evil or wickedness in God.

Satan is the prince of evil, and he carries out his evil schemes and plans or evil works through his unseen cohorts and through those who are blindly lost. This means that "Evil" in the world persists because Satan, through human or negative supernatural agents, is responsible for evil practices. But passively and evidently, there is no atom of evil or wickedness in God. Shalom!

Guided Prayer: Heavenly Father, your Word says that there is no evil, wickedness, unrighteousness and injustice in you. You are my rock of protection, solution, salvation and safety. Your Word is my effectual, distinguishing sanctification for your glory. Thank you for electing me in Christ as the recipient of your divine nature and grace, according to the good pleasure of your will in Jesus' Name, Amen!
