LEGENDARY ADVANCEMENT - PART 8

WEDNESDAY 22 JANUARY 2025

The LORD will again comfort Zion, and in today's topic, we are going to consider how the inspiring effects of "comfort" is divinely beneficial to living and conducting our individual Christian lives. More below!

Reference: Zechariah 1:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

"Again proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem."'

Divine comfort can be a source of tremendous optimism or hope. It can empower you to overcome even the greatest challenge on earth. When you face anything in life, you don't only need divine guidance to persevere and prevail, you also need the comfort of the Spirit, who is known as the greatest Comforter. In John 14:26 (AMP), Jesus noted: "But the Helper (COMFORTER, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you."

The concept of "comfort" can become a merely acquired knowledge, until you gain a spiritual insight into its practical value offered by person of the Holy Spirit who is the epitome of lasting comfort. Trust me, you can never separate true comfort from being the character of the Spirit's inner working. This is the reason you must be filled with the Spirit on a regular basis.

Regardless of how much you lack comfort, activating and embracing the manifest presence of God's Spirit will always be a solidified way of remaining detached or disentangled from any feeling of pain, disappointment, miserable concerns, discouragement, depression, despondency or despair, distress, and any form of troubling sway or physical loss, because the comforting influence of the Spirit enables you to maintain and retain the invisible power of mental well-being, as well as empowers you to live a vibrant life, well pleasing to God.

2nd Corinthians 1:3-4 reads, "Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God" (AMP).

Now, it is so easy to read the aforementioned versified passage without knowing the true practical value, but if as a child of God, you are having a really difficult time staying hopeful due to an unchanging nature of unfavourable situation, or due to the longevity of an adverse condition, you need to become more careful about establishing a negative thought pattern based on such experiences, because the damaging effects of having such occurrences replay in the human mind or emerge as part of your daily life - can appear irredeemable.

This is one of the main reasons Pauline epistolary expression reminds you that God is a merciful Father and the source of all comfort. Moreover, if you don't apply the knowledge of this truth in your own personal life by activating the comforting influence of God's Spirit and upholding it as a continual process, the knowledge of this Scripture will remain invalid and powerless amid the practicality of your earthly lifestyle.

Beloved, leaning on honest and authentic comfort of the Spirit yields a phenomenal value such as hopeful exuberance. Simply put, when you gain the empirical cognizance of the comfort of the Spirit, a living hope is usually activated within the sphere of your heart, and now, if you hope for what you do not yet have, you wait for it patiently and energetically (Romans 8:25 NIV). Stay tuned for part 9. Shalom!
