LEGENDARY ADVANCEMENT - PART 5

SATURDAY 18 JANUARY 2025

In today's article, I will conclude my exposition on the first segment of our versified reference: My cities shall again spread out through prosperity. More below!

Reference: Zechariah 1:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

"Again proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem."'

Prosperity is a divine blessing of new birth that is rightfully bestowed upon the saints by God. A Psalm of David says, 'May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they continually say, "Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant"' (Psalm 35:27 NLT). David prompted those who desired his vindication to be joyful and glad; to also praise and to acknowledge that God derives pleasure in his prosperity as an individual.

Beloved, study to show yourself approved so you can comprehend and assimilate the truth that God is very much interested in your prosperity. Yes, to gain this truth as fixed inward cognizance, you must be willing to go for [and receive] the in-depth knowledge of His Word. So what does God truly have in mind when you know that He delights in your prosperity?

To prosper is to be successful in spiritual and material terms; It is to flourish financially, and to thrive in bodily health and in soul realm, amassing untold wealth and possessing true success. That's exactly the mind of God for you. His grace enables greater and more inclusive access to living a successful Christian life, being profitable and fruitful in all justifiable endeavours, growing from strength to strength, and progressing in all good things. Favourably, His Word fully supplies all of these to the saints, when and where it is lacking.

Furthermore, the mindset of prosperity is what it takes to keep you walking on water during your "high sea" experience. To that effect, the book of Jeremiah reads, "But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit" (Jeremiah 17:7-8). This Scripture described the mindset of someone likened to a tree planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.

Such persons are never bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Even when it seems like they are faced with an impossible task in light of the rapid pace of seasonal change, they constantly sustain a sense of continued advancement, which is legendary and inevitable. Why so? The person's focus is chained to God's Word, because he/she chews on Scripture day and night, by which he or she is empowered with the right mentality, as well as revived, refreshed, and made hardy, evergreen and fruitful, denoting a deep walk with God.

Another versified passage that justifies this truth is found in Psalm 1:2-4, which reads:

"His passion is to remain true to the Word of 'I AM,' meditating day and night on the true revelation of light. He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God's design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous. But how different are the wicked. They are like chaff blown away by the wind" (TPT).

This person will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God's design. What does this versified statement mean by the person "being planted" by God's design? It implies that his rootedness is yielding fruit in beneficial directions, which equally reveals God's constant regard to such a person, who by frequent communications and absorption of His grace through the Word, is kept far from withering effects and from becoming fruitless.

Indeed, we are as a watered garden, planted in Eden, whose springs do not fail, but rather we bear fresh fruit and prosper in every good way, never dropping a leaf; always in blossom. Stay tuned for part 6. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Proverbs 11:28; Ezekiel 47:12; Isaiah 58:11; Hosea 14:5-6.

Guided Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I honour your holy Name because you are like the dew to me; I prosper and blossom like lily of the valley and I take root in Christ like the cedars of Lebanon. My shoots sprout successfully; my prosperity is like the olive tree, with its sweetly scented fragrance likened to the cedars of Lebanon. Thank you for delighting in my prosperity, as your honourable servant, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
