ITS ALL ABOUT PERSPECTIVE
FRIDAY 27 MAY 2022
The essence of God's Word is to condition your mind and align your spirit with the reality of God's perfect will for your life. The right perspective is looking at life and approaching it from God's point of view. It is the perspective that can host the possibilities of the divine in our lives irrespective of challenges and circumstances.
Reference: 2 Corinthians 4:18 New King James Version (NKJV) 'while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.'
The apostle Paul advises God's people not to lose heart when they face challenges and when any contrary circumstance seems to dim their outlook on their glorious future. Paul tells them that whatever they encounter is a light affliction and its momentary or temporary, but any unseen reality which God has ordained concerning them, are sure and eternal.
Paul also tells them that those troubles produce for them a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So what should be your focus when you experience such situation? The glory of God! You must fix your eyes on His glory, so that the Spirit of God can reveal it in your life.
It's all about perspective and what you focus on. That's why you must live with the voice of the Holy Spirit and establish your bearing from His fountain on your inside. At any point in time, He can whisper to your spirit - an inner information - that can position you to gain heights in the spirit, when acted upon. Therefore, no matter what you see around you, you always need to engage Him in fellowship until His whispers and promptings shape your reality. That's how to travel from what is seen to what is unseen, according to our Scripture reference.
This is also the reason the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV), 'But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.' Aside this, notice what the next verse says...'But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God' (verse 10). The Holy Spirit is the difference between where you are and the manifestation of everything God has prepared for you and deposited in your spirit.
You must understand that any contrary incident or circumstance you encounter in life is subject to time-limits. But that which God has deposited in your spirit (the dreams, the visions, the good desires or the things that are not yet seen) are the objects of your faith. They are eternal and they come to settle through all the ages of God's purpose for your life. But you need the imparting influence and signature of the Holy Spirit, to see them come to pass. In other words, it is your steady partnership with the Holy Spirit that will programme or provoke their manifestations.
Today and always, commit yourself to the leading voice of the Holy Spirit, so that even the things that are not seen, which are being processed in the womb of your spirit, will manifest to impact your world and count forever.
Scripture Reading - Romans 8:28; Colossians 3:2; Romans 8:37; Philippians 4:13; Romans 12:2; 1 Corinthians 2:16.
Guided Prayer: Gracious Father, I honour you today for building my spirit with your Word, as I fix my eyes on you. I'm grateful that the impact of your Spirit in me causes me to grow strong and prevail over momentary troubles. Thank you for renewing me day by day, from the inside out, to see the vision and purpose you have for me more clearly, and walk in them as I bask in the light of your glory, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
