DIVINE WISDOM AND SUPREME UNDERSTANDING - PART 9

The Bible is very clear in condemning the use of psychics, horoscopes, tarot cards, clairvoyants, palm reading or any other aspect of the occult, meaning that God is against such practices. Therefore as a born again Christian, you must never partake of palmistry, or consult the psychics and other paranormal sources, for any help or guidance because Satan and his demons are either directly or indirectly behind such modus operandi. Reference: Proverbs 3:13-14 New Living Translation (NLT)

"Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold."

Having acknowledged that the wise men who visited the Messiah were misrepresented as the Magi, it is also important to understand that they saw his star when it rose as a sign from God, summoning them to come and worship Him as the Lord and Saviour of the world. To that effect, the Bible says:

"After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh" (Matthew 2:9-11 NIV).

By reading this passage over and over again, the Spirit of God will surely inspire or instruct you to know that their true worship was far from the practices of a sorcerer, a magician, a wizard, or any magical and uncanny influences. They were wise through God's perspective, and they understood the time; therefore, they went along with the star they had seen, which guided them, until it stopped over the place where the child was. As a new born babe, the Lord Jesus Christ received the good gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh from the wise men, for every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Beloved, the devil has nothing in regard to Christ (John 14:30 NASB), and therefore, the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh were not from wise magicians, wizards or sorcerers, denoting that Satan's role was not highly evident in the visit. Even Herod's plan (who tried out the practice of ascertaining the accurate location of the birth of the young child, by subtle approach) was blocked, because having been warned in a dream by God not to go back to Herod, the wise men returned to their country by another route.

As you check the above understanding, in the same way, you have to believe that - to have a true possession of divine wisdom, you must receive it from the right source and then the Spirit of wisdom will abide in your inner person, and become the Spirit of your spirit, inspiring the life that you live out. This is Phronimos for you: the absolute manifestation of divine nature and wisdom, sustained by progressive stages of illumination and clearer revelation of eternal truth being habitually acted upon. This also implies that we gain access to this exceptional value of wisdom through God alone, reminding us that true wisdom and the practical manifestation are rooted in our personalized and intimate relationship with God.
