Ecclesiastes 11:1 reads, "Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you" (NLT). Evidently, in this versified statement, are forms of concept such as [seed, fertile ground, time and seasons, profits] which are fully expressive of conditions for divine reaping experience. These concepts are reasoned conclusions originally built upon the foundation of generous perceptions. More below!
Reference: Isaiah 32:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
"But a generous man devises generous things, And by generosity he shall stand."
Some people can argue in opposition to generous actions with divine responses, yet nobody can deny the role a precious seed, a fertile ground, time and season, have to play before a reaping experience (profitable rewards of generosity). By season, I mean cold and heat, summer and winter. It is God that established this seed-stages relationship with the earth, reminding us that no part of the process is irrelevant because their prerequisite importance is rooted in their connection to what God uttered within His heart in Genesis 8:22, which reads: "While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease" (ESV).
The same versified statement numbered as Genesis 8:22 is significant of the truth that God is not stingy or reluctant in His response to generous seeding and prudent giving. He wants you to understand that just as you are certain that as long as the earth remains, the sun's history, from the beginning of time, shows that it will rise and shine as the morning - so should be the confident assurance of certainty regarding your reaping expectations, after sowing the seed of generosity. Or have you ever expected the sun not to rise the next day? If you really expect another morning after tonight, then you must observe the same manner or attitude in aiming at an expectation beyond your immediate action of generosity.
God established a systematic cycle timing for seed sowing which is controlled by laws and regulations of heaven. To that effect, the New International Version of Psalm 126:6 reads, "Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them." What are sheeves? Sheeves are a bundle of grain stalks laid lengthways and tied together after reaping, denoting a great harvest of treasure trove that greatly exceeds the seed value. So the Psalmist informs that seed sowing involves an expectation of functioning in a "higher" reality within and beyond reaping stage, a sphere in which we can directly discover, secure and enjoy the possession of profitable ingathering and appendage of reward, and this truth doesn't mainly require reliance on the physical senses to be understood because such a higher reality is plainly initiated and established by the influence of the Spirit.
Jesus also stated in Luke 6:38 saying, "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back" (NLT). Living a life of generosity is purely transactional between God and man, meaning that after reading and cogitating on this sort of versified statement, it is a "seemingly absurd" conclusion to accept the notion that you shouldn't expect any goodness from God - in return when you generously give to God and man. Luke 6:38 grants us this "universality of privilege" that lies in a glorious activation within the spiritual realm which catalytically triggers you to make room for more of God's blessing, after you've given generously.
Other vital versified sources of truth that encourage generosity are as follows:
1. Do not withhold good from those who need it, when you have the ability to help (Proverbs 3:27 NET).
2. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7 ESV).
3. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35 NLT).
Although there are manifold Scriptures that communicate and impart a great deal of divine knowledge based on the importance of generosity-inspired missions, beloved, your life can become the absolute manifestation of their candid revelation, which is indicative of operating steadily in a realm of life distinguished and characterized by the peculiarity of God's abundant grace and omnipresent favour, as you remain faithful in giving generously to God and man. Shalom!
Heavenly Father, your Word informs that a generous soul will prosper, and he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Thank you for making me a generous benefactor/benefactress that influences and improves the lives of others in my world, as I grow from strength to strength in my faith walk in Jesus' Name, Amen.
